New Year’s Eve
The capital’s New Year’s Eve celebrations “Welcome to Partyslava” will take place throughout the day at 4 different points in the centre of Bratislava. The celebrations will begin on Hviezdoslavovo square, culminating at midnight on the Dunajske embankment. The climax of this year’s New Year’s Eve celebrations: a light-acoustic-firework show with live drummers, illuminated countdown of the last seconds of the old year, and fabulous fireworks launched directly from the Danube.

The city is full of stalls with folk handicraft products that will serve as beautiful Christmas gifts for the whole month long. In the Christmas atmosphere, you may have anything ranging from bread with lard and onion, through pancakes with goose livers, grilled specialities up to sweet pancakes with poppy, walnuts and domestic apple pie.
