New Year’s Eve

The capital’s New Year’s Eve celebrations “Welcome to Partyslava” will take place throughout the day at 4 different points in the centre of Bratislava. The celebrations will begin on Hviezdoslavovo square, culminating at midnight on the Dunajske embankment. The climax of this year’s New Year’s Eve celebrations: a light-acoustic-firework show with live drummers, illuminated countdown of the last seconds of the old year, and fabulous fireworks launched directly from the Danube.

Christmas Market is one of the most amazing and popular events of Bratislava. You can also see Bratislava Christmas Tree. The city is full of stalls with folk handicraft products that will serve as beautiful Christmas gifts for the whole month long. Bratislava Christmas Market

The Christmas market in Bratislava is one of the most notable events of the year. Bratislava Christmas Market takes place in the atmospheric Main Square in the Old Town of Bratislava. The Center for Relaxation in hotel Devin provides the widest range of services of any Center in Bratislava hotels. Hotel Devin, named after a near-by standing castle Devin is located in the historical centre of Bratislava (in the past called also Preslavburg, Presburg, Braslavgrad, Possen, Pozon, Prespork ...). The New Bridge Bratislava

Constructed within 1967 - 1972 over the Danube-river, it acquired appreciation of „Construction of the 20th century“. Authors of the design, J. Lacko a A. Tesar designed it as a steel bridge suspended on a single pylon. At the top of the pylon, in the height of 80 m, there is a restaurant connected with the bridge itself via an inclined high-speed lift in one of arms of the pylon as well as via emergency staircase with 430 steps in the other arm. The bridge is 431.8 m long and 21 m broad of two levels. Total mass of steel structure, including the pylon, is 7,537 tonnes.

Eurovea Bratislava - the new trade center

Irish company Ballymore Properties have secured a 200,000 m2 riverfront location (Eurovea) - with retail, leisure, office and residential development as well as an innovative riverfront park, pedestrian friendly streets and a major new public square planned. This development will dramatically change the face of the capital city and according to Ballymore "a renewed Eurovea exemplifies the level of commitment and belief Ballymore has in the future of this increasingly vibrant city".

The design is a collaboration between the leading architects Bose International, the Slovakian practice ReSpect and Irish practice Murray Olaoire.
